What exactly is the Deep State and who is in it?: The “Deep State” is a nexus of the US Special Services, of the US Permanent Political Bureaucracy, and the mass media that serves them. And essentially it performs, controls the daily functioning of the nation, while the president does his own thing. (The term “Deep State” originated in the country of Turkey and is commonly used in their political circles.)
