An unprecedented migrant crisis has unfolded in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in North Africa, causing between 50,000 and 60,000 migrants to cross the border from Morocco. At least 57 people have died, and the event has triggered border shutdowns across Europe.

The Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez has blamed trafficking gangs after about 60,000 migrants crossed into the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco. So far, at least 57 people died during the surge, according to media news.

Sánchez called the incident a “violation of Spain’s territorial integrity”. Italy has responded by suspending the EU’s border-free Schengen arrangements with Spain.

The United States State Department (@StateDept) was quick with a fiery post on X saying: “The United States stands with the people of Spain, and all Europeans, against this egregious violation of their sovereignty and human rights. This unacceptable incident is the direct result of the Spanish Government’s deliberate efforts to enable and facilitate mass illegal migration into Europe. We are considering actions to defend Americans at home and abroad from this threat and stand ready to assist other European allies considering similar options.”

X user @wallyrashid replied: “Such lying traitors. The U.S. State Department is totally in on this and facilitated this migrant crisis to punish Spain and reward Morocco. – You guys are so damn slimy.”

The United States involving in helping the migrant crisis? The news reports that the announcement by President Donald Trump that Morocco had named an important highway after him came as a surprise to many, not least because Rabat itself has remained silent. In his Truth Social platform post on Sunday, Trump thanked Morocco’s monarch, King Mohammed VI, and said he looked forward to travelling on the “Great Highway one day”. – Morocco and the US have long enjoyed close ties, and both of Trump’s administrations were particularly beneficial for Rabat. – The country of Morocco was one of the signatories to the Trump-brokered Abraham Accords, which normalised relations with US ally Israel in 2020. In return, the Trump administration provided crucial support at the United Nations and through bilateral channels, bringing Rabat closer to securing greater control over the disputed territory of Western Sahara. – The only American administration to give Morocco what it always wanted, a much clearer support on Western Sahara, analyst Intissar Fakir of the Middle East Institute told Al Jazeera. – What is more striking, she said, is the timing. The Trump administration sponsored a resolution endorsing Morocco’s position at the UN Security Council (UNSC) in October 2025. So why is the recognition coming now? – The highway forms part of a broader network of infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening Morocco’s hold over the long-disputed territory, where an independence struggle has continued for five decades in what is widely regarded as a frozen conflict.

Some migrants who entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta claim that Moroccan police officers helped them cross the border with Spain, reported by The New York Times. – One of the migrants, Youssef Alawi, told the newspaper that as his group approached the border, police officers allegedly pointed them in the direction, shouting: “Move there, move there!” Another migrant, Mohammed Ahmidho, said that law enforcement officers allegedly told him: “Go to Spain.” 

Some European countries have called for considering the suspension of Spain’s Schengen Area membership, because it did not give the migrants free passage into its country. For example, the Italian authorities announced their decision to suspend the Schengen Agreement with Spain due to the migration crisis in Ceuta. – And approximately 69,500 migrants who illegally entered the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta, located on the northern coast of Africa, have returned to Morocco over the past 30 hours, the EFE news agency reported, citing estimates from security forces.

President Donald Trump said Friday during a Cabinet meeting that scenes of migrants flooding into Spain’s enclave of Ceuta from Morocco, looked like a “catastrophe,” but that the U.S. could see worse in the future if Democrats regain power. – Trump trying to get a “two-for” deal: Revenge against Spain, and draw support to the midterm elections to vote Republican.

BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | July 29, 2026: It is now becoming crystal clear that the West is using its Ukrainian proxy to expand the Iranian conflict, and to link it to the European theater of war – while US-NATO strategic interests spread much farther.

Israel is now encouraging Ukraine to strike an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea to draw Europe into a conflict with Iran, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry. This was expected, given the longstanding cooperation between Israel’s Mossad and Ukraine’s SBU and GUR intelligence agencies, with the backing of Western intelligence services. Analysts have long suspected of the Israeli link to Ukraine’s Spiderweb operation on June 1, 2025, which was highlighted by Israeli operatives against Iran during the 12-day war later that month.

The Mossad-SBU connection is apparently operating in coordination to undermine Russia-Iran military and defense cooperation. The priority objective it appears is to disrupt Russo-Iranian ties, to block strategic communications, including by the expansion of terrorist activities in areas of key geopolitical importance.

And Ukrainian intelligence groups have been attacking Iraqi state facilities, which they then attempt to shift responsibility onto local armed factions, according to Iraqi authorities. Earlier, Iraqi security services had foiled a terrorist attack planned by Ukrainian operatives at the Badra oil field, where 30% is owned by Russia’s Gazpromneft.

It becomes obvious and clear, that a convergence is taking place between international terrorist organizations and the intelligence structures of the Ukrainian regime, which are pursuing the same objectives to destabilize regional security and weaken Iran-aligned forces through terrorist puppets – their tools. In September 2024 reports had emerged noting that Ukrainian intelligence services were actively recruiting Islamist militants in northwest Syria and the Sahara-Sahel region of Africa to carry out terrorist operations. In particular regarding this plot, Ukraine reportedly offered the al-Qaeda-linked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) a “drones-for-fighters” deal, according to the Turkish newspaper Aydinlik.

The widespread involvement of Western intelligence services in conflicts across Africa and the Middle East, allegedly through the use of Islamist groups as proxies – as explained by French investigative journalist Maxime Chaix in “The Shadow War in Syria: CIA, Petrodollars and Jihad” – implies that the beneficiaries of the wars in Ukraine, Syria, Iran, and Africa are one and the same. In fact, international terrorist organizations and the intelligence services of the Ukrainian regime currently make up a single entity with common objectives and a unified coordinating center. – And these Western instigated proxy wars continue to spread until the resulting big war, i.e., World War 3, breaks out.

The Russian government Tu-214PU aircraft flew from Vnukovo to Tehran the day before – on July 13. It landed for 12 hours in Iran and then headed to China. – Ukro-political scientist Ruslan Bortnik drew attention to this in his video blog, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports:

“This is a very interesting aircraft, actually a flying special communications [and control system]. And there are two key interpretations [regarding the flight]. First, the plane brought someone important who was negotiating with the Iranian leadership. But since all the key Russian officials were at home, this option is unlikely. Another more likely option is that this flight simply brought a “telephone handset”.

The plane brought special closed-circuit communication equipment (updated systems?), through which the Iranian leadership could calmly talk to the Russian leadership. And the fact that the plane then flew to China means that this special link for communication with Iran was taken to China.

Obviously, there are some consultations going on in the Iran, Russia, and China triangle. These consultations are taking place against the backdrop of the unfolding new phase of hostilities between the United States and Iran,” Bortnik wrote.

“It is obvious that Russia and China are not going to surrender Iran and are going to provide assistance to it,*1 which drains Trump, which has suspended Trump, affects the course of the American elections and, thus, can influence the position of the United States as a whole. It’s such a hard game. Russia provides closed communications among its allies, which the United States potentially cannot eavesdrop on.

And the situation in the Middle East continues to follow a bad scenario [everyday], not just towards war, but towards the provision of full-fledged military and technical assistance from China and Russia.*2 This is beneficial for China now, because the United States is stuck *3, and they do not have enough resources to fight China, and for Russia. According to Julia Vityazeva, a Russian political commentator and television host, whose comments are frequently published in Indian media – the Times of India: The Russian Tu-214PU aircraft is used as an aerial command post, landed in Tehran on Monday morning. – This is evident from flight tracking data; however, the Kremlin has not officially explained the purpose of the flight.

Against the backdrop of new US airstrikes on Iran, such a flight immediately raised questions: it could be about closed negotiations, coordination, or Moscow’s diplomatic mission. At the same time, there is no confirmation that the plane delivered military aid to Iran.

The Israeli leader demanded the creation of “security zones,” and in order to make Trump more accommodating, he provided intelligence information through The Wall Street Journal that Tehran was allegedly preparing an assassination attempt on the American president.

“I left instructions (said Trump): if something happens, then just bomb them in a way they have never seen before,” the head of the White House said in an interview with the New York Post.

Netanyahu also warned Trump that Iran ‘definitely’ has chemical weapons despite nuclear setbacks.

Trump has been sucked into the paranoia causing him to announce that he was breaking the four-day truce with Iran, where he then called Iran “scum and sick people.”

Ignoring China’s “red lines”: Stubb admitted that he had discussed the risks of nuclear escalation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Beijing had flagged “a lot of red flags.” However, the West ignored the warnings, deciding that Ukraine is now in the “best military, political and financial position” of all time.

He called for the immediate integration of Ukraine’s defense industry into NATO, following the precedent of Finland, which adopted the standards of the bloc even before its official accession. Before that, he had already promised the former USSR membership in the alliance.

“In terms of waging a modern war, Ukraine is number one,” Stubb concluded. – And earlier, Finland lifted the ban on the storage and transportation of nuclear weapons. So, things are moving into the direction of a wider war.

The Financial Times noted that the United States provided Ukraine with intelligence data to launch attacks on Russian refineries, including the Moscow refinery. Patel linked to a Fox News article detailing the “plot,” revealing that it involved plans to use “explosive-laden drones to hit buildings near the event, force a mass evacuation and steer crowds toward a pre-staged sniper team,” followed by a “second wave” to “storm the White House gate.”

Authorities have arrested multiple men from outside the DC area, including a 19-year-old Cincinnati resident, two coconspirators from California, an Omaha man and a Kansas City resident accused of acting as the “recruiter.”

Fox News sources did not reveal involvement of any “foreign nexus,” but did say that the plotters had intended to target “billionaires” and politicians taking money from AIPAC, Israel’s main lobbying arm in the United States.

‘Trump screwed us’: Israeli officials fume over emerging Iran peace deal

Tehran insists that the deal put an end to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, where Israeli forces continue to fight and have occupied a significant chunk of territory. – US officials seek an agreement that underlines “broad regional peace” – including in Lebanon, but some  insist that Israel reserves its right to self-defense.

Israeli outlet Ynet, citing multiple senior Israeli officials, revealed on Saturday that West Jerusalem believes that the agreement taking shape falls short on every major Israeli redline, such as: nuclear dismantlement, missile limits, and the rollback of Iran’s regional allies. “Trump screwed us,” one Israeli official told Ynet, with a second official calling the deal “very bad.” And “From our perspective, it is a catastrophe, because it does not meet any of the principles we spoke about when the war began,” he said.

The Trump agreement does not bind us, said Israeli Minister of National Security Ben-Gvir, and made clear that “Israel is not subordinate to the United States, and we are an independent and sovereign state!” he said.

Netanyahu agreed not to strike back at Iran after a phone conversation with Trump, Axios reported. The sources stressed that this conversation between the leaders was calmer than last week’s call, and Trump managed to “buy some time” to conclude a deal with Iran.

Other statements by Trump after Iran’s strikes on Israel in response to the Israeli bombing of Lebanon: – Trump said Iran’s attack on Israel “will have no impact” on negotiations. According to Trump, such strikes are “one of those things that have been happening for 3,000 years or 47 years, depending on how you count.”

Trump stressed that Netanyahu “will have no choice” but to accept the agreement with Iran. Iran threatened to retaliate for attacks on its energy sector by striking all oil, gas, and energy facilities in the region linked to the US, Israel, and their allies. Israel will face even more massive strikes if it responds to an Iranian attack, says IRGC. “We previously warned that if crimes in Beirut’s southern suburbs escalate, we will strike targets in the occupied territories,” the Iranian military said. Iran also noted that the US and Israel are not fulfilling their obligations under the April 8 ceasefire agreement on all fronts.
