Sweden to reopen rape case against Assange
BATTLE FOR WORLD / AP | May 13, 2019: The article highlights that Swedish prosecutors announced on Monday (May 13) they are reopening a rape case against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, and seek his extradition after he has served his 50-week prison term in Britain for jumping bail.
Sweden’s deputy director of public prosecutions, Eva-Marie Persson, told a news conference in Stockholm that “there is still a probable cause to suspect that Assange committed a rape.” And said: “It is my assessment that a new questioning of Assange is required.”
Persson noted that while there is a risk the case may cut close to the statute of limitations deadline, “there is also a chance that we will be able to get him extradited before August 17 next year (2020).”
The move by Sweden would leave British authorities to decide whether to extradite Assange to Sweden or to the United States, where he’s wanted for allegedly hacking into a Pentagon computer.
(BattleForWorld: This was the tactic that was suggested by a few talking heads in media, for Sweden to reopen the case against Assange, where he would be extradited.
The US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo was supposed to arrive in Moscow on May 13, but the State Department canceled the meeting. The reason given was that Pompeo was on his way to meet with the Europeans. Which left many asking the question: Is Pompeo going to meet with the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and pressure him to back down and let Assange be extradited to the US?
And a few talking heads in media have also speculated that if Assange is extradited to Sweden it will be an almost sure bet that he will join Edward Snowden in Russia, in freedom.
The United States is doing all sorts of crazy and reckless things because it knows that into 2020 and after, the prosperity reading cards are uncertain.)

John Shipton, the father of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, has suggested on the Australian television show ’60 Minutes’, aired on Channel 9, that his son was traded by Ecuador, in exchange for the United States to approve a loan from the International Monetary Fund and that his son will be jailed for life in an American prison.
“Ecuador doesn’t have its own currency. It uses the United States dollar… You can’t get an IMF loan unless the United States approves it – upon agreement to remove Julian from the Embassy”, he revealed to reporter Tara Brown in 60 Minutes.

Manning began copying and uploading the State Department messages to WikiLeaks, pushing the breaking news service to fame.
