Europe’s Losing Power, Political Shift On The Horizon

POLITICO – May 29, 2018: The article highlights that Europe is losing steam as a result of the old aristocrat power base chipping away, and as a result Brussels is left dazed and confused regarding the future of the union.

The EU establishment is stumbling in 2018 from elections and political stalemate notching up losses. With Chancellor Angela Merkel, the icon-establishment leader of Europe, barely holding on to power, weakened in her reelection bid. Her party colleagues worry around the EU table as the populists make headway toward political power. And for the first time since World War II, the far-right party, Alternative for Germany, was elected to 92 seats after a pair of defections in the Bundestag. Chancellor Merkel open-door migration policy also compounded the problem and has dealt her heavy blows from the angry German population who continue to see their way of life change for the worse.

Anti-Merkel movements are making headway in Austria, the Czech Republic, and most recently Hungary followed, and now Italy has sent the biggest political shock so far in 2018. And Austria’s determination to break free from the old aristocrats brought the far-right Freedom Party into government.

And in France, in due time, the main alternatives to Macron aren’t the Socialists or Les Républicains, but rather Marine Le Pen of the far right and Jean-Luc Mélenchon of the far left.

The political shifts unfolding inside Europe are sending shock-waves on a magnitude that was impossible to predict, they say. While Italy, the third-largest EU power once Britain leaves the union has threatened to hold a referendum on membership in the single EU currency, and that could ultimately fracture the EU as we know it, if any such referendum goes against Brussels, as most as done so far. And all this upset is putting Europe’s future into uncertainty.

Soros: EU is in ‘Existential Danger’, US Policies Risk Global Financial Crisis

SPUTNIK NEWS – May 29, 2018: The article highlights that Globalist billionaire George Soros has openly backed pro-EU groups in a bid to hinder the UK’s withdrawal from the EU as part of his broader strategy to gain further influence throughout Europe to pursue his political and economic goals. He also has other pro-EU interests, and has been accused of meddling in Hungary’s internal affairs.

At the European Council on Foreign Relations thinktank in Paris, George Soros discussed a number of integral issues and developments related to the EU’s future in his speech.

EU-US Rift & ‘Major Financial Crisis’

Soros, who has been a vocal supporter of the Iran nuclear deal, which was jointly negotiated in 2015 between the Obama administration, Iran and a number of other world powers, stated that US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Iran deal, known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was “effectively destroying the trans-Atlantic alliance,” warning that Trump’s exit from the deal was further deteriorating diplomatic and trade ties between the US and the EU.

“This development [US withdrawal from the JCPOA] will put additional pressure of unpredictable force on an already beleaguered Europe. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong,” he said.

Soros continues, saying that the worsening of US-EU relations are “bound to have a negative effect on the European economy and will cause other dislocations. Emphasizing that we may be heading for another major financial crisis, and that it’s no longer a figure of speech to say Europe is in existential danger, because it’s just harsh reality.

European members of the JCPOA continue to work with Russia and Tehran to salvage the deal, which was agreed after extensive negotiations, and resulted in the lifting of economic sanctions against Iran in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear program.

(BattleForWorld: But the Zionists and the US neoconservatives started to prod candidate Trump before he won the presidential election, about withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal.

And when since Soros stop being an ally of the Zionists and US neoconservatives? The US withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal is just an excuse to create more chaos in the region, in the interest of Israeli geopolitics. And the pending deal with North Korea will become useful at some future time against the Chinese for more stupidity war to dominate the region.)
